Good promotion on the frontpage of the Corendon-website for the new MST-flights:

Correct, website now updated . Hopefully billboards and (TV) commercials ill follow.
Luchtvaartnieuws article of dec. 11th about Corendon and Ryanair has some interesting news.

quote : Op Eindhoven kunnen we zelf niet meer groeien, het zit vol unquote

Chance for MAA to get more flights from airlines whith expansion plans at Eindhoven which are
not granted. Seeking for alternatives ? MAA is in the neightbourhood and well equipped.

Any rumours ?

There were also comments on the new Corendon-flights from MST, recently announced. Some people mentioned that the only reason for these new flights from MST was the unavailability of slots at EIN. Seems like that EIN is 'full', indeed.

Same goes for RTM & AMS.

Several airlines have huge amounts of unallocated slots on the waitlist at AMS, unless it changes I would expect some more (charter) flights to be operated out of MST (or NRN) next Summer.

What's the allocation policy for slots. ? Wizzair gets 2 new weekly flights from Eindhoven to Varna and Corendon claims
that Eindhoven has no slots available . Also Amsterdam has still possibilities to allocate slots. (new KLM routes announced)
Maybe that's one of the reasons that no new routes from Maastricht are announced yet. ( Airlines hoping and waiting to get allowance at airports with a bigger passenger flow ?? )

Most of the slots for an entire season are allocated at once, however not all airlines decide to publish new routes instantly.

Thanks for sharing this information, most welcome .

Slot allocation rules only mentioned airports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Same construction for GAE and MAA or
different ?

Nope, different. Slot allocation at AMS, EIN en RTM is centralized because of high demand and capacity shortages.

"IATA makes the following distinction in levels of airport capacity:

- Level 1: airports with adequate capacity to meet demands (non-coordinated airports)
- Level 2: airports where demand is approaching capacity (schedules facilitated airports)
- Level 3: airports where demand exceeds capacity and no solution to be expected in the short term (coordinated airports)

In the Netherlands 7 airports can accommodate international civil aviation traffic. There are 4 ‘Level 1’ airports (Enschede Airport Twente, Groningen Airport Eelde, Lelystad Airport and Maastricht Aachen Airport). Slot allocation in the Netherlands applies to 3 ‘Level 3’ coordinated airports (Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Eindhoven Airport) which means that at these airports in order to land or take off, it is necessary for an air carrier or any other aircraft operator (including general aviation) to have been allocated a slot by a coordinator, with the exception of State flights, emergency landings and humanitarian flights."

Oh so, that's the reason if a holiday charter has a lack of pax. They prefer to cancell flights/ops at level 1
airports like MAA to maintain their rights for next season at level 3 airports like Eindhoven. ( Corendon did S16)
Nothing to do with performance or rates, only saving rights.

Just out of curiosity: is the new Germania route the new destination you mentioned or can we expect more new destinations in the upcoming weeks?

well indeed, PMI was the first to be published, more to follow asap (sorry its all under embargo)

Any update possible ? or still under embargo ? intentions still valid ?

I am not sure why there would be an embargo. Flights have been loaded already and are bookable: https://www.flygermania.com.

Sry for the confusion, but I noticed only PMI bookable, and no other destinations. But information like more to follow asap
(see above ) suggest that more new dest./routes are in the pipeline.

We now have PMI by Germania, as well as Antalya, Faro and Heraklion by Corendon for S17. I guess LimburgWiki refers to the Corendon flights with 'more to follow'. :-)

A67 in Venlo also has a Correndon billboard, it looks like there are 4 destinations from Maastricht, but the free parking caught my eye instead, are we expecting a 4th destination?
